My recommendation would be to not visit that forum. Someone else on youtube mentioned that the dirty electricity from the outlets could cause problems for grounding, so if that was the case, I would try to connect the wire directly to a grounding rod (if possible).
I recall from my Jack Kruse days that you have to be certain of the location of the rod too because of underground circuits or something to technical for me.

I was drawn to Ray Peat's wisdom only in 2022 after eating keto for 22 years. As I was trying to solve my problems, the places where people were communicating in good faith about hormones, mitochondrial function, nitric oxide, carbon dioxide, and so much more . . . were all Ray Peat-related, including the forum you mention. For example if you want a full understanding of nitric oxide, you are going to run into Ray Peat's ideas, and they are going to be contrary to much of the "received wisdom." But it isn't about the person, it is about the clarity of thought from a deeper consideration of a topic. Most people intuitively know that intellectual honesty, open-mindedness and good faith are prerequisites for learning about and improving one's health. But the zealots take the wisdom being cultivated and overapply it. They literalize it to the detriment of many. And when the consequences prove negative, they turn on the wisdom they misapplied. I suspect the same thing will happen with the new paradigm.

I know Danny Roddy has linked to YT videos showing how easy it is to make a grounding pad. However, I thought saw Danny (or somebody else) link to a company that made them relatively affordably. I have a family of five, and although I enjoy making things, this is one area where I would favor buying a better-manufactured product for the whole family. Am I wrong about Danny Roddy at one time providing a link to such a company? Any suggestions? I see them on Amazon, but I thought I saw a link to what looked like a good company. Measuring the underarm temperature and resting pulse rate upon rising and again in the afternoon for a few days to find the average is a good start I think. That can sometimes happen when the liver is underfunctioning from hypothyroidism I think.

I just tried underarm and it came in 96.6... I assume that's too low? 9pm.
I suggest that you eat something before your coffee within an hour of waking as well as add cream and sugar/honey to it. If your AM temperature is below 97, you have a thyroid issue. Use the progesterone topically on the inside of your lower arm. But it sounds like you need help with your liver and may not be making T3 from T4. Fruit with some protein several times a day. Kate Deering's book is great for improving your health status with Peat concepts. Some wild yam creams are not any good because they are not actually bio-identical.

What is the best way to figure out my thyroid status?
I assume general TSH type blood tests are not sufficient?
Also... how to stop bad caffeine effects? I love Coke and coffee, but they both give me heart palps, though minor...
