Dear Danny,

You are so wise in how you are bringing this information forward. It is so critical to keep these pillars in tact and you keep pointing to them while others are whacking them down with all their might. You are like a sun rise.

Love you!!

That was a great video!

I learned so much from the podcast episodes Ray was on, and then his articles, newsletters and books were extremely informative as well. I hope everyone that gets into Ray’s work reads at least one of his books at some point (preferably all of them!)

From PMS to Menopause and Generative Energy are probably my favorites, but I also really like Nutrition for Women and the other books.

Hi, besides the ray peat forum (RIP THE FORUM), where else would u suggest us look for more research to do with it or other reputable sources besides u n haidut

Broda Barnes's and Hans Selye's books are both good I think. I can't think of any reliable internet source besides the Ray Peat email wiki.

How about Jay Feldman?

IMO, Haidut is a bit "iffy" too. He is in it for the $$$, and relying on any of his "mouse studies" may not be wise.

He refuses to call out the assclown meltdown Charlie for ruining the Forum, thus is a coward.

Charlie is now coming out as violently opposed to all Ray Peat ideas and recommendations... a hell of a guy to run the Ray Peat Forum!!

I'm pretty sure he banned haidut then unbanned him, so I think haiduts tryna not get banned again but is tryna save the forum

Yes, Banned and unbanned, but Haidut is a coward, he only is in it to sell his expensive and "iffy" supplements to Forum members.

He does zero to "save the Forum". HE could come out against the dogturd Charlie... but never will.

Really grateful for your brevity Danny as I’m catching up over lunch. I will check out the Gary Null interview, thanks.

I’ve read PMS to Menopause, but have found it difficult to put Progest-E into practice thus far. Any tips are greatly appreciated.

Loving Bioenergetic Basics.

Thanks for that. Using it post ovulation from days ~14-28 seems to work well for the women that I talk to. The right dose will tend to make a person tired. The dose should start small and could increase depending on the effects I think. If a person doesn't notice anything, or has estrogenic effects from it, they probably need to work on their thyroid function, nutrition, calcium, and vitamin D.

"To avoid unexpected anesthesia, the correct dose should be determined by taking about 10 mg. at a time allowing it to spread into the membranes of the mouth, and repeating the dose after 10 minutes until the symptoms are controlled."

"Occasionally, a woman won't feel any effect even from 100 mg. of progesterone; I think this indicates that they need to use thyroid and diet, to normalize their estrogen, prolactin, and cortisol."

"Normally, the body produces 10 to 20 milligrams per day. A dose of 3 or 4 drops usually brings the blood levels up to the normal range, but this dose can be repeated several times during the day if it is needed to control symptoms."

“Cycling women often take 50 mg/day during the luteal phase, 12 to 14 days before menstruation; it’s a 10% solution, so half a milliliter or an eighth of a teaspoon contains 50 mg. Post-menopausal women can use it daily, according to symptoms, or about 30 mg/day.” —Ray Peat, PhD

Thank you so much for leading me to Georgie and Ray. I’m learning so much. QUESTION —Did I hear you once say that Ray liked corn tortillas made in the traditional way (lime) ? That they were ok? On a limited basis? Again, you are the best. 👍🏻

Could you speak to men taking progesterone? Dose, how often... how to apply... IF they should take it at all...

Also... how to defeat caffeine sensitivity (palpitations)??

Thx!

Hi Danny, thank you for all of your podcasts and these videos. We appreciate your 'view' on Ray Peat's work. What is a suggested dose for women going through menopause?

Ray touches on it in his Progesterone Summaries article:

"PERIMENOPAUSAL: The symptoms and body changes leading up to menopause are associated with decreasing production of progesterone, at a time when estrogen may be at a lifetime high. The cyclic use of progesterone, two weeks on, two weeks off, will often keep the normal menstrual cycle going. Three to our drops, providing ten or twelve milligrams of progesterone, is typical for a day, but some women prefer to repeat that amount. Progesterone is always more effective when the diet contains adequate protein, and when thee isn't an excessive amount of unsaturated fat in the diet..
